$49.99

Microcomputer Graphics for the Apple Computer by Roy E. Myers is a seminal 1982 programming manual published by Addison-Wesley that bridges the gap between raw hardware code and creative visual generation. Writing as a mathematics professor from Pennsylvania State University, Myers designed the textbook to fully explain the core math and code needed to manipulate the Apple II architecture. This is the fifth printing, November 1983. THIS BOOK IS SPECIFICALLY FOR APPLEA really nice addition to your Vintage Computing Collection!
  • Applesoft BASIC Mastery: Every graphic example is actively written in Applesoft BASIC, showing how early hobbyists bypassed hardware memory limits to draw shapes without complex assembler language.
  • Low-Res vs. High-Res Exploits: It explicitly maps out the Apple II system architecture, guiding you through screen page layouts, memory page swapping, and color generation bugs inherent to the 6502 processor landscape.
  • Pure Math Fundamentals: The curriculum focuses directly on the mathematical frameworks of computer graphics, covering matrix transformations, 2D vector scaling, rotation, and early 3D wireframe coordinate conversions.
  • Era-Defining Publisher: Released under the iconic Addison-Wesley Microbooks Technical Series, it represents the golden era of physical computer publishing, complete with printed code listings intended to be typed out manually.
