Mountain Computer MC00701A HP-IL 80-Column Video Interface w power cord vintage :
$95.00

Up for sale is a really nice, clean Mountain Computer MC00701A video interface unit from the early 1980s. This is the exact same hardware that Hewlett-Packard sold under reorder number 92198A for their vintage HP-IL calculator loop systems (like the HP-41C, HP-71B, and HP-75). It lets those early pocket computers output text onto a regular video monitor screen.
Cosmetically, the unit is in fantastic shape for its age. The plastic housing looks great, and the metal labels on both the front and back are bright, clean, and completely intact. The serial number is M001016.
Please Note (Testing Status):
I am selling this unit completely untested and as-is. The great news is that it comes with its original factory power supply. These units require a very specific 9VAC power input which is hard to find on your own, so having the original brick included is a huge plus. However, because I don\'t own the special HP-IL link cables, a compatible calculator, or an old composite monitor to hook it up to, I can\'t actually run any data through it to guarantee that it transmits video.
This will be packed very carefully with plenty of bubble wrap and shipped out fast in a sturdy box. Please take a look at the pictures to see the exact condition, and feel free to send a message if you have any questions before buying. Thanks for looking!
