Rare Vintage Epson SD-800 Dual Floppy Combo Drive 3.5\" & 5.25\":
$199.00

Up for sale is an incredibly rare, highly sought-after vintage Epson SD-800 Dual Floppy Combo Drive (Assembly includes the SD-880-010 controller board and integrated SD-700 mechanical drive subsystem).
This iconic, space-saving unit was engineered in the early 1990s to house both a 3.5\" (1.44MB) floppy drive and a 5.25\" (1.2MB) floppy drive inside a single, standard half-height desktop computer bay. It is the ultimate \"holy grail\" component for retro-computing hobbyists building a period-correct MS-DOS, Windows 95, or Windows 98 legacy system.
Provenance & Pedigree:
This unit comes directly from my father\'s private estate collection a former MCI Telecommunications Engineer who was active in the industry from the 1980s through 2012. It has been meticulously stored in a clean, smoke-free, climate-controlled tech environment. Its pristine condition reflects the premium care of a lifelong technical professional.
Condition & Technical Specifications:
• Model: SD-800 / SD-700 / SD-880-010
• Interface: Standard legacy 34-pin floppy interface edge connector (plus standard 4-pin Molex power terminal).
• Serial Number / Trackings: F300177289 / B091094 / F300184291
• Cosmetic Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The classic beige faceplate is exceptionally bright with minimal signs of aging or yellowing. The metal housing is clean and free of deep scratches or corrosion.
• Connectors: The rear data connection edge and power pins are immaculate, clean, and straight.
Testing & Operational Status:
• UNTESTED. Because I do not personally possess a legacy PC setup, a 34-pin floppy ribbon cable, or vintage floppy media, I am unable to bench-test its mechanical alignment or read/write capabilities.
