Repurposing is the common use for these. It is standard x86 serverhardware with VGA and USB, so it boots and runs OPNsense, pfSense,Proxmox, or a standard Linux distribution. With 4x 10GbE SFP+ and8x GbE it makes a very capable router or virtualization host.
