Up for sale is a rare piece of vintage mid-century technology history featuring an original IBM Corporation Certificate of Honor. This historic document was presented to employee Willard R. Kolb on September 13, 1971, to celebrate his induction into the company\'s prestigious Quarter Century Club for 25 years of continuous service. The certificate features an authentic, bright gold foil embossed corporate seal paired with a vibrant blue ribbon at the bottom right corner. This collectible piece is highly notable for featuring the signatures of two of the most influential executives in the history of computing. T. Vincent Learson signed the document as Chairman of the Board, remembered as the driving force behind the development of the revolutionary IBM System 360 mainframe computer. Below him, Frank T. Cary signed as President, the legendary leader who would later become CEO and green-light the development of the original IBM Personal Computer. The entire piece comes securely housed inside a heavy, authentic vintage lucite acrylic floating frame held together by metal corner screws. The paper displays a clean, slight uniform aging consistent with 50-year-old ephemera, while the foil seal and signatures remain sharp and striking.
