The ECS AL486 is a vintage 1990s computer motherboard designed for Intel 80486 processors (this an Intel i486 DX2-66) using a Socket 3 CPU interface and the ALi M1429 G chipset, AMIKEY-2 keyboard controller, and AMBIOS chip. This mobo also comes with the front bezel to the Baby AT mini-tower that it was pulled from. You can choose to decline the faceplate if you want, and offer a lower price for this item. Back to the mobo: Chipset: Powered by the ALi M1429 and ALi M1431 core logic. Processor: Socket 3 CPU socket supporting various 486 processors such as in this case, beneath the cooling fan, an Intel i486 DX2-66. Expansion Slots: Features VESA Local Bus (VLB) slots and standard ISA slots for graphics and peripheral cards. Memory: Uses traditional SIMM memory slots.
