Vintage Toshiba Satellite Pro 430CDT – Pentium 120MHz – Windows 98 SE – Working

Very clean vintage Toshiba Satellite Pro 430CDT laptop in working condition. The computer has been tested and boots successfully into Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition.

System Information

* Intel Pentium 120MHz processor

* 32MB RAM

* Microsoft Windows 98 Second Edition (4.10.2222 A)

* Hard drive installed and working

* Built-in color LCD display working

* Keyboard and pointing device working

* Original Toshiba Satellite Pro 430CDT chassis and badging

The laptop is in very nice cosmetic condition for its age. Please review all photos closely for exact physical condition.

Battery

Battery functionality has been confirmed. The laptop remains powered on while disconnected from AC power, and Windows reported the battery at 100% remaining during testing. A photo showing the computer operating with the AC cord disconnected is included.

Due to the age of the computer and battery, total battery runtime has not been tested, and no guarantee is made regarding battery capacity or longevity.

Power Management / Standby

During testing, the vintage standby/resume function did not resume reliably and produced a “Resume Failure” message after the computer entered standby.

Automatic standby has therefore been disabled in Windows. This does not prevent normal startup or operation. The computer boots normally into Windows 98 SE and operates normally during testing.

Software

The hard drive contains an existing period Windows 98 Second Edition installation along with vintage software. The system has not been reformatted or converted to a modern operating system.

Please Note

This is approximately 30-year-old vintage computer hardware and is being sold based on the functionality specifically described above. Due to its age, no guarantee is made regarding untested ports, battery runtime, long-term reliability, or functions that have not specifically been tested.

Included in sale:

* Toshiba Satellite Pro 430CDT laptop

* AC power adapter/cord

Please review all photos as they are part of the description.

A very clean, working example of a classic mid-1990s Toshiba Satellite Pro, ready for a vintage computer collection, retro computing setup, or period software use.
