A one-of-a-kind up-cycled triangular table lamp crafted from authentic vintage mainframe-era computing components. This custom industrial piece features three beautifully preserved translucent amber printed circuit boards (PCBs) from a classic Sperry UNIVAC system.
When lit, the lamp cycles through a full array of different colors. The still photos are all amber but many other colors appear when lit...the iPhone just didn't pick them up. The video does a slightly better job. When lit, the radiance brings the hand-drawn retro copper traces and circular logic pad grids into vibrant geometric relief. This is a spectacular piece of computer history and a holy grail for cyberpunk industrial design.
Unsure of what purpose the rubber band provides. We removed it momentarily and it seemed to hold together on it's own just fine, but since it was there when Estate-Sale-acquired...we thought better of removing it. the next owner can decide how to proceed. it is also missing one of it's yellow rubber foot socks.
