    purist debian splash

after installing to hdd the and upgrading to unstable, It was a true debian, no longer knoppix of which the splash screen looked quite out of place. so I installed a rather pure debian spash screen from:
    http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=2597
    how nice..

The original splashscreen is still there too (the KDE one)...
It was just renamed so that the Knoppix one is beeing loaded.
If you want the KDE splash back, just delete/move the knoppix pictures and rename the originals back.

Very nice. I was wondering - how do you change the wallpaper that appears behind the splashscreen panel?

From the Kmenu -> Settings -> Control Center -> System Administration -> Login Manager then choose administrator mode enter root password choose the Background tab and make your changes.
