Acollection of 100 vintage MX Black switches. These switches were carefullydesoldered from a Tatung C1250 keyboard, as seen in images 5 through 10.Initially, the keyboard's date of 1979 seemed puzzling, given that the MXswitches were first introduced in 1984. Further research revealed that Tatung,a Taiwanese company, might have used the Minguo calendar, suggesting the actualmanufacturing year might be 1990. Every switch has also been tested for functionality and compatibility with a Kailh hotswap socket.


Cleaning:
Each switchhas been meticulously desoldered using solder wick and cleaned individually topreserve their unique characteristics formed over years of use, this ensureseach switch retains its distinct feel and performance without any mix-up of thestem and bottom housing.

These switches are highly prized for their unique sound andfeel, attributes derived from the original Cherry molds used between 1984 and1994. Their smoothness is further enhanced by decades of typing, creating asought-after typing experience.
