1984 Macintosh 512K Model 512K empty case housing, both front bezel and back case halves with internal metal cage bracket. Ready to use as a replacement case for an either an original 1984 Macintosh M0001 128K or Mac 512K, as they both use the same identical case housing. Rare hard to find original Mac case in complete clean and nice undamaged condition, not all darkly yellowed or damaged like many Macs seen now are. Great to collect and display or use for a custom project!
Thedifficult tasks of removing the high voltage CRT monitor, analog power supply board, drive housing, etc. have already been done and the case is ready to use. This case can beused for parts, a custom project, or for a full replacement original 1984 Macintosh computer case.Case is in excellent condition overall, very clean and nice. NO pry marks on case seams which is very commonly seen on older Macs that were pried open, this one one is clean. Small hairline split in bottom corner of the faceplate as shown. Original serial # label on front under monitor ledge, week 39 of 1984 production, indicating this was an early Macintosh 512K unit. No rubber feet on bottom, case is clean and detailed. Original Apple aluminum emblem on front, original M0001W 512K label on back of case only, NO rear emblems on back as shown. No battery compartment cover included. Inside has the molded signatures of the original Mac design team including Steve Jobs as shown.
