This is a pretty clean Thinkpad T41, from 2003. It has a 1024 x 768 14.1" screen, which looks great! I acquired the laptop in early 2016, on my never-ending quest at that time for laptops with parallel ports (for my own business model). It's been sitting quietly on my shelf with several others for nearly all that time. The screen's hinges are nice and tight, as is typical for these Thinkpads. It has Windows XP Professional (sp3) installed, with a COA sticker. It has a DVD-ROM, a 40 BG Hitachi hard drive, and 1 GB of RAM (can go up to 2 GB). Everything functions well as far as I can tell. I gave up on the "PCI modem" alert in Dvc Manager. Someone who knows "wireless" topics better than me can probably find the driver and get it to connect wirelessly. This laptop should be great for retro gaming, or writing (great keyboard, TALL screen), or programming (same reasons)or any geeky engineering things (e.g. stepper motor control) made possible by the presence of a parallel port! The battery works and charges to 100%, but no guarantees as to how long it actually lasts. The laptop will ship with a genuine IBM charger, which also works great. I added most necessary drivers (graphics and sound and chipset in particular). Note: I'm shipping USPS Ground Advantage as it's apparently required due to the lithium ion batteries.
