HD Instalation problem

I run instalation normally with 'knoppix-installer', and in qtparted, my HD simply doesn't show up. I have knoppix 4.0, HD is WD and I'm sure HD is correctly installed because it shows up in BIOS. How can I solve this?! Thanks in advance

One way to solve this is to partition your hard drive with alternate software, i.e. Acronis.
Knoppix 4 is pretty old so its also likely that your HD may be SATA or something that knoppix 4 doesnt recognise
