FTE is a console based text editor with a user interface similar to MS-DOS EDIT, only better of course. The .deb is fte-console. I have been searching (on and off) for months for something to save me from the hell of vim and emacs. Only comlaint is that it appears to require root privileges to access the console. So should it go in? And if so, what do I do about it?
