knoppix alsa=intel8x0 kills nvidia
Does anyone know why the alsa module would prevent the nvidia driver from working?
if boot normal the nvidia driver works fine, if I boot knoppix alsa=intel8x0 i see the alsa modules load which is a good thing but when x trys tostart it gives me an error saying, don't " this, screens found but no valid settings found for your card.. could not load GLcore?
anyone know the order to insmod after x loads and I run the alsascript so I can test it after X loads
Thanks
